Motifs

Motifs are small designs that you crochet multiple times and then join together into a larger project.  I've always avoided motif projects because it looked like a lot of steps and then you need to join (crochet code word for sew) them together.  If you read my last post, I don't like sewing.

However, I needed to whip a baby blanket up FAST.  In a week or less fast.  That meant doing a smaller project.  Also, motifs are known for being crocheted speedily.  Indeed, each motif took 15 minutes or less.  Attic 24's web site had some helpful hints about joining the squares together so it would lay flat.

All in all, it turned out alright and would work well as a car seat blanket.  Congratulations on your upcoming baby boy G&JN!
