Snow

It seems like a good time to post about the crochet snowflakes since there was a snowstorm yesterday. So far I've made three and have come to a grinding halt. For some reason I have trouble with these patterns (both diagram and written), especially when transitioning between rounds. I also find crochet this small to be a bit tedious. Starching and blocking does greatly improve their appearance. Seeing them hang on our tree reminds me of learning how to crochet this past year.
  • Patterns: Snowflake from book published by Seibido Shuppan, Pretty Snowflake Ornament by Julie Bolduc (www.jpfun.com), can't remember the 3rd pattern-maybe from mypicot.com?
  • Yarn: Royale classic crochet thread size 10
  • Hook: 7/1.65 mm
  • Lessons learned: starching with liquid starch, blocking, and finally, I don't like crocheting something so small
